It happened last Halloween

The band prepares to do battle with (l-r): the Dallas Cowboys, rodeo bulls, bowling pins, and invading Englishmen.

Jeff keeps it real: Even in "costume", he's the consummate professional.

Aaawww...poor, sad demon clown...

"If one more chick asks me what's under this thing..."

Bruce damn near answers the age-old question.

And they say politics makes strange bedfellows...

Peter Pan and her little-known brother, HellBoy.

Hey, shouldn't she be a sheep? Bruce the Bruce and his lovely cow, Dory.

A match made in hell: He sure married up.

Outta my way, I'm on fairy business...

The party drew all manner of unsavory characters.

Get down with your bad selves.

Really? And she seems so nice...

The dashing Mario. Seriously, the man kept his cool all night (unlike most people).

Club owner Mark didn't dress up...but he did play some bad-boy harp.

Honest, Ossifer, I haven't been...hic!

The ogre and the boy who never grew up. Who knew?

I now pronounce you...hey, whose slipper is this?

Duh! Cinderella's.

Where else can you see Stewie (from "Family Guy") and Tinkerbell get down with Shrek? Only at Poor John's, that's where.

The tail wags the dog (and knocks into absolutely everyone on the dance floor).

Once they start swapping headdresses, it's time to go.

Our new friends, The Volleys. Here's one for your desktops, guys.

The band was privileged to play at the kick-off party for the Albany Rods and Kustoms' Adirondack Summer Nationals car show in Lake George last September. Thanks to our friend Doug Roussin for shooting most of these pix.

Do the Harlem Shuffle(board). The band had a sweet set-up under a tent behind the Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center.

The theme of the kick-off party was Hillbilly. Here, one specimen annoys fellow patrons with his musket air-guitar. Lay off the moonshine, buddy.

As the sun set, the lights came up.

Rich shreds too fast for the shutter speed.

Jeff and his new Epiphone, "Woody" bring the thunder.

Bruce croons to the crowd.

Dave and Bruce keep the rhythm steady...well, Dave does.

Yes, we let him have a mic: Dave belts out the blues.

Rabbi Jeff? At first glance it looks like he's wearing a yarmulke.

Percussion section: Dave and Bruce go crash, boom, jingle.

Mr. Tambourine Man: Bruce channels his inner Tracy Partridge.

Yeehaw! Look at them hillbillies dance!

Rhythm section: Jeff and Dave in the pocket.

Nothing says rock n roll like a shuffleboard court.

Rich rocks a sunburst Les Paul and a black-and-white tee.

Rock stalwarts: Bruce and Rich stand and deliver.

The band plays until the last guest leaves.

Some enchanted evening: a beautiful night at the Adirondack Nationals.
